Well I started again and this time I sew the linging onto the bag like it said and went to pull the bag up thr the linging and I can't get the handles out or the button loop,
and I suppose to make sure that when I sew the bag and linging together that the handles are where? I don't think these purses are that easy or I can't understand what the heck the pattern is meaning.

I had a terrible time making my bow tuck purse. The pattern is definitely hard to understand. Even after watching the a tutorial on it, I still had a problem. I think my first bow tuck will probably also be my last bow tuck.

The instructions could have been written much better I think. It seems odd I know, but the handles and button loop need to be down when the layers are stitched together.
(On the outside of the outer side of the bag, in other words)...

Hope this helps..

When you put the bag together you have:-

the lining right side out - this may be where you went wrong

the outer bag inside out (handles on inside)

put lining inside the bag

match side seams - the right sides of bag should be together - you should only see the lining at this stage

pin round the top and stitch with 1/4" seam

Put your hand through the opening at bottom and pull the bag through and then push lining back into bag and push out the corners and top stitch about 1/2" from top.

Hope this helps
