I am sure the quilt will be just beautiful even with an error or two

and it is beautiful. i thought i had solved the squish. the cable i made today wasn't just elongated...it looked too slopyy and careless to leave in place. i must have been more tired or frustrated or rushed than i thought. when i pulled it out to work on it tonight i decided i was too tired to quilt and just removed the stitches instead.

blergh.

once it is done and bound i am sure i will feel so so so much better.

I'm still here! :) But I don't have anything to add in this thread, Holice explained it perfectly how to solve the problem. I do it in a very similar way.
