Don't regret buying my Bernina Serger. Great machine - but pricey.

I bought a Juki MO644-D from allbrands.com last fall and it's great. A basic machine, nothing fancy, it does do rolled hem which is mainly why I wanted one.

My husband just bought me the BabyLock Evolution this weekend. I have to make about 200 napkins for my son's restaurant and I really feel a serger is the way to go. After looking at the features and benefits on so many machines, and knowing my low frustration point these days, the Evolution was my choice. It's a simple-simon operation. After fiddling with it today for about 3 hours, I have it down pat. And, I'll be taking the classes offered although Sewing with Nancy has several good videos on her website to help you get up and running. I'm excited to finally be able to finish so many things nicely.

I recently bought an older Juki off CraigsList. I've always wanted a serger - what for I don't know. It took me 2+ hours to get it threaded the first time but now I know how to do it. I paid $25 for it and the 91 cones of thread that came with it. :) Would I like a new, fancy serger? I don't think so at this time as this one does exactly what I want - for now.

I have 3 sergers, but the one I love the most is my Brother 1034D. It works great, and Brother has the best manuals. I have Brother,Bernina and Pfaff and the Brother is just the one a turn to most. While a Babylock top of the line serger is probably the easiest to thread, it's thousands of dollars. for my needs the Brother works just fine.
