Help with carrier for mp3 player
 

I am giving my 8 and 10 year old grands MP3 players. I would like to make a holder for them hold them, either to hang around their neck or use hands free. Can't seem to find a pattern. They are 2 inches wide and 4 inches long. I can figure out something, but wonder if any of you have a unique idea. Thanks

I made a little cell phone case once but I now use it for my driver's license, credit cards, money that I carry in my pocket instead of taking a purse. It is small (my cell phone is one of the "old" really small ones) but I think it would work for an MP3 player. You could also use the back pocket from an old pair of blue jeans & attach a strap. I think your grands would like it made from jeans. If you google "cell phone" case tutorials you may find something you like. Mine was really easy to make. PM me if you want me to scan the instructions & email them to you. Mine doesn't have a strap but it would be easy to add one. Mine has a flap that folds over & is secured with velcro.

thank you so much this is perfect. I made a small one to fit over their head and wear like a lanyard. But this will be much better. I like the velcro idea. I am hoping this will keep it out of pockets and washing machine. Thank you too for cell phone idea. I googled mp3 holder and didn't find a thing . I really appreciate this.
