Help...driving myself crazy!!

In the last few weeks, there was a post about "setting blocks on point". (I think) Someone posted a link to a video of a guy that showed how to do it. He started with a square, then added fabric which he then trimmed. The result was a center, with borders. There was some discussion as to the fact that he wasted too much fabric, and others offered different ways to do it. I wrote it all down, and...yup...can't find it now. I've been searching like crazy for his video, or the post. Am I searching for the right terms? Does anyone have any idea what I'm searching for?? Thanks!!

Jan In Va has pointers and tips. I think they have one on setting blocks on point. It's really using blocks up and down and adding triangles at the edges to make it look on point.

Happy to help, even if it was a round about process!

Don't feel like you are alone Anniedeb. I can't figure how to "bookmark" anymore so I just copy and paste it in an e-mail and send it to myself. I have no problem finding an e-mail on my computer !!

Jan in VA is such a great member knowing so many things!!

I have to remember this page so that I can come back to it when I get home. I'm at work so I can't save anything to this computer. Thanks Jan and PaperPrincess.

That's a good idea. I usually copy and paste and e-mail to myself like someone one else said.

You can go to thread tools and save it in one of your QB folders. It's there until you remove it. You'll find this above the first post on each page.

Thanks Jan. Your PDF on setting triangles is the easiest I have found. It is a lot easier than the other method I have used. No weird math and special rulers.

Wow, Bellaboo, who woulda thought.....that's great, and I CAN DO THAT......happy face here.

You might want to look for "side-setting triangles" . . .

Wow! I found out how to make things bigger! I needed that. But when I tried to print it, it came out really tiny. So I went to: setting quilts on point.pdf - Adobe Reader - and there it was in real time - big as life. I printed that whole tute, and it came out in normal size so that I can read it. Thanks again, Jan

I'm thrilled this has helped some of you with the issue of setting blocks on point!
Thanks for your comments.:)
