I recommend this to practice paper piecing: http://www.quilterscache.com/StartQu...tingthree.html
It is simple and easy to understand. |
Thanks Agape........i've done paper piecing before and i can do it without problems but this block is not making sense to me. When i line up the blocks side by side, the end blade on one of the blocks is straight up and down but the adjoining block is a curved blade. It dont make sense no matter what i do.

If you used that pattern, your fan should be squared off.

Mesissy, I just looked at it and it makes no sense to me, either!!

Maybe it is supposed to be a "mini" fan and set individually in the quilt? It does look like you would sew two together, matching '5' on one to '4' on the other.
Maybe seeing it colored in will help you? |

try English paper piecing instead - much easier to do.
