I would like learn free motion quilting. I see a tutorial on Feathers but that is too advanced for me. Any tips from you experienced quilters?

I found a piece of fabric that had some pretty easy to follow designs on it, made up 12" square fabric sandwiches and practiced following the designs :D:D:D Then I made some up with solid fabric and practiced writing my name, making loops, stippling and such until I felt more comfortable and confident on how my stitches were coming out. It really just takes practice and keeping an eye on your tension. Also using a bigger needle helped me too :D:D:D

your can use a marker ,draw on the sandwich you made,i make them about 18 or 20 inches square) then go back and follow them with your machine..
