help with hand quilting frame
HI
This is my first post and probably in the wrong place but I need help and was not sure where to go. So, here is my question...I have a Grace EZ44 frame that I want to load a quilt into. It appears with these frames you start at one end of the quilt and work towards the other. Right??? So, do I start quilt on the border? The quilt has a 4" border. I have tried to google instructions for loading a quilt on this frame but it is never the 44 they are using in the videos. I THINK I know what I am doing in that reguard, but just wondered about starting w/the border. Or, would I do that when I take the quilt out of the frame? Hope this question was clear and look forward to any help. Jp |
I did a quick search on the site here & found this thread http://www.quiltingboard.com/main-f1...t207468-2.html if you scroll to post #49 that member has the frame you are asking about. Maybe you could send her a PM. Just click on her name & you will get the option to send her a Private Message. Hope she can help, and welcome to the forum!

Hi
I will check that out. Kinda feel silly because I just realized it is an EZ3 that I have! Maybe the message you refered me too will help...thank you |
One thing I learned the hard way...it takes patience and 3 or 4 humans to properly load a quilt for hand quilting.

LOL. Well, I'll see how it goes. If anyone here has this frame I would really like to get some tips.
Thanks, Jp |

Shows EZ3 and EZ44. |
Thanks for the link. I have watched that one before and it does not show the EZ3 only the 44. Anyway, I ended up calling them and getting help that way. I searched the old messages last night and I was glad, but sad, to see that I am not the only one who is confused by the Grace instructions for cloth leaders and installing the quilt. So, for those who get this frame and need more help, just call...they will help.
Thanks everyone, Jp |
