Help How do you zig zag around small curves.

How do you make the stitches look correct and not slanted when going around small curves? Any advice will help. Thanks! mary r

usually one stitch at a time, stop with needle down and swung to the right , make one or maybe two stitches and repeat, also smaller stitch length helps not be so noticable

If you have the needle down function on your machine, you sew slowly and stop with the needle on the outside of the circle each time you need to lift the presser foot to reposition the fabric so you stay on the circle edge when you suggest zig zag.

I never liked the zig zag around a corner. I would practice on a sample making notation with what you like. I always use the buttonhole stitch.

Thank you. I will try to go slower and do that. mary r

I am the same about the zig zag and I do a better job with buttonhole stitch. I use needle down and go slow around the curve.

slow, and practice on something till you get it, I also shorten the stitch length and width. and use the same color of thread. good luck
