I am doing a round robin - first one ever! I have 4 fabrics of Haida prints (red, white and black) that I want to incorporate into this quilt block. The blocks needs to be 12.5 inches - so that when sewn it will be 12 inch and it will be set on point. Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks, Janet |

This link has lots of blocks. Most any square block can be set on point. You might want to choose a smaller block then border it out to the 12.5 square you need for your center. |
quilterscache has a lot of designs that are 12" blocks.

If my math is correct, a 9" square will be larger than 12 1/2" when set on point, so you can then trim it.

Thanks, Janet Ex: take a 8 1/2" square piece of paper, measure it corner to corner, and it measures just slightly over 12" Choose a 9 in block that can be trimmed without losing any points, you will be trimming almost 1/8" off of each side. :D:D:D |
have fun
