If you can believe this, as a quilter, I need fabric. It seems as though I am having difficulty locating fabric in a blue pastel color. I can find some pinks, yellows, a few greens, but haven't had any luck with the blue. I went to Hancock's, JoAnns, and have looked on Clotilde. Anybody have any suggestions? Thanks. :?:

Are you looking for a solid or a print? I have some cloud material I bought at Suzy's in Garland.

Would prefer prints, and clouds would be fine. Thanks for the infomation.

In Joann's, did you just look in the quilting fabric area? Or did you check out the baby fabric? I found a lot of pale blue in the baby section.......

Here is what I have, about 1 1/2 yards, plus assorted smaller pieces.

grandma pepsi 03-14-2011 07:09 AM

Thanks for the picture. I was looking for a paler blue (preferably a much softer blue).

We have quite a few blue "blenders". Sorry I can't split out just the light blues, so here is a link to all the blues: http://www.favoritefabric.com/cgi/co...id_fabric.html

There are two pretty paisley blues here: http://www.favoritefabric.com/cgi/co...y_paisley.html

Go to fabshophop.com. In the search box enter what you want. They will list shops you can go to for your request.

Did you do an ISO (in search of ) in the classified section, maybe you'd get more responses there.

grandma pepsi 03-15-2011 07:15 AM

Thanks for the tip. Went to Moda's web site this morning. Everything looks too dark (even the baby blues). I am beginnning to believe the colors as shown on the computer are not always the same as in real life.

Thanks for the information. I was in Hancocks last monday, and all of their blues were too bright. Maybe they have had a new shipment (since Easter is on the way, maybe they will get some pastels in). Thanks again.
