perexide is also a life saver in getting blood out of ANYTHING,, BEFORE washing. learned the hard way making nursery sets years ago at a shop. I don`t know how it would work on a crime scene:):)

Well, I had a lab that drank a great deal of blood that he generously shared with the rest of us, in the middle of my diningroom's blue/white berber carpet...peroxide got ALL of it out, but it took several applications of just pouring it on the carpet and soaking it up. It did not change the color of the carpet at all.

Be careful with the peroxide. It could take out the dye in the fabric as well if left too long.

Lucky for me it was white fabric with teeny tiny buds all over. I'm just glad I got the scorched spots out. And, I have turned down the heat of the iron a bit. Thanks everyone for your help. It's nice to know someone has your back  For sure my son would not know what to do!!!!!!

I learned about using peroxide from my Aunt. She was born at the turn of the last century, and claimed she could scorch all kinds of fabric, whether she wanted to or not

Will the peroxide work on any color?
