help with ideas for quilt

ok if i were to post pictures of fabric squares i have, they are large kerchiefs, and some other fabric could i get some ideas, suggestions, help with the best way to go about using them for a quilt. they are all bright southwest pics and we spend our winters in arizona so i thought i would try making a quilt out of them for our bed, queen size, in the trailer. please be honest i cannot be offended. i can also purchase other fabric to go with it if there is nothing you see that i will post although i have fabric galore to choose from. i am not going to put all of it online. so i leave it in your hands as to weather or not to go ahead and start posting. by the way i an a newbie, so green its pathetic. lol i have made 2 quilts with lots of help and other small projects so i am learning. thanks

If you enter "handkerchief quilt" in the search window there are lots of answers. Here is just one example:

I would love to see pictures of what you have to work with. If you have enough you could do it similar to a t-shirt quilt - all the blocks the same size and then just sashing.

I agree with just putting them together with sashing in between. Pick an outstanding color from the bandanas and use that as sashing. Would suggest you cut sashing into 2-1/2" strips across the width of the material you pick. That will make a good size for the sashing. JMHO

Absolutely, I would love to see what fabrics/material you have and I have a 4G flash drive that is about 1/2 full of ideas and projects I want to do "one day before I die". Hey, we are all in this together!

Nothing wrong with using what fabric you like. I'm guessing you have bandana type kerchiefs and I've seen beautiful quilts made of them. I would imagine they would make a great memory quilt for you to use in your trailer.

Are you wanting to use the whole bandanas or are you thinking of cutting them into smaller pieces? The quickest would be just use the whole bandanas with sashing between as was suggested earlier. Any fabrics you have that are not bandanas could be cut to the same size as the bandanas and interspersed among the bandanas.
