Help Identify 39" Quilting Fabric

1 Attachment(s)
Yesterday I acquired these two pieces of lovely 39" fabric at a garage sale. There are no markings on the selvages. The hand is lovely.

I would like to find out more about the fabric - manufacturer, design, etc. Is it current or an older fabric?

Please let me know if you have seen this fabric before and what you know about it.

Thanks!

Haven't seen it but it is beautiful!

Very pretty. I wonder if it might be Japanese? It looks kind of like some of the indigo patterns in the blue?

Just did a google search 'hexagon fabric' I'm sure the fabric was there . Have. Look also try Michael Michelle.

It's very pretty fabric. I need to stop at more garage sales.

There is something here very similar but it is 112 cm which converts to about 50" wide.

Is there nothing written in the selvedges?

As it is 39", I'm guessing it's probably older. The manufacturers that we deal with in our shop don't produce anything that narrow.

I'm guessing it is older fabric. When I first started sewing in high school (about 50 years ago) fabric was available in 36-39" widths.

Thanks, everybody, for the clues on this fabric. I think you must be right that it is Japanese. Perhaps the odd width is another clue to it being a foreign fabric. No, there are no markings on the selvages.

It is beautiful fabric and with 2 yards of the blue and 4 yards of the brown, I can actually do something with it!
