Help to Identify this Block

1 Attachment(s)
I love this quilt and would like to make one. I saw this quilt at a retreat where they were documenting old quilts. I should have asked the owner about it but didn’t think about it until later. I tried to draw the block and quilt in EQ but it never worked. Can anyone help to identify the block or help to figure out how to make it?

Reminds me of a wagon wheel so here is what I found:

Thank you so much. I looked at the Wagon Wheel but still don’t see how to join them like the original quilt. I will continue to play with it and try to see if there is a way.

wagon wheel looks like Hexies with center circle sewn in center.
looks like a interesting quilt to make.

My theory is that the blocks are constructed as hexagons and then joined together.

Kite shaped pieces alternated with triangles - with a circle appliqued in the center.

This would be quite doable if it was hand-pieced.

The center wedges could be adjusted from very skinny to quite thick.

This is one site that one can download .pdf files to print all sorts of interesting things.

I know this doesn't specifically answer your question (it looks to me like Bear already has that figured out), but this is a pretty neat web site I found while searching for your block:
