Help to identify quilt
1 Attachment(s)
This is a picture of a picture of a quilt my mom made many years ago. I would like to try to find the pattern for it but have not had any luck so far. If anyone can give me an idea what it is called I would be grateful. I haven't ever seen the quilt in person but would really like to make one. It appears to be templates because the angles and intersections are not all even or right angles, if that makes any sense. Consequently it forms a secondary star shape in the corners, not a square. Thank you all for the help you always give to everyone.

Wow. It's a stunner! Can't help with the pattern although I agree it looks like templates were used.

Looks like you could do this with foundation piecing. Eight triangles to the square. The point on one end is the pinwheel while the point on the other end is the green center to the star.

The name of the block is wheel of fortune.yes it is template pattern.

I found it on Blockbase under the name "Road To Fortune"

I made one years ago and it was called "Wheel of Fortune". I have a book with the pattern in it, but it is packed. I am in the process of moving.

the pattern was published in McCall's Book of Quilts, Simon & Schuster/The McCall Pattern Co., NY, 1975.
