The pattern in the fabric cause the blocks to look disconnected. The border fabric doesn't even look like its part of the fabric line.

It's not the fabric combo I would have selected, but please do finish it. even if you aren't wild about the finished quilt, I am certain there is a shut it or someone in a hospital who will feel warmed by it.

yes on the blocks and no on the sashing. Cream I think would be wonderful, really help pull it together.

The blocks have a very modern feel but the "sashing" interferes with that feeling. If you offset the blocks so that the sashing is broken up you would maintain the feeling better. The fabric of the sashing isn't the problem. It's the way it breaks up the blocks and forms a big cross. Too regular.

put the sashing on thee back---try out other less busy fabrics that brown stripe coulering would look good---the blocks are great kudos for the curved peicing

me for the black sashing too. use the other for the back.

skip the sash and find a softer sash. ,maybe a tonal or less busy fabric that blends in better.

I think the black might do the trick

You did great on the curved seams. Those just aren't my colors but everyone here has such great advice!

Yes...use the sashing fabric on another project and switch to black or cream sashing. While I'm not crazy about these particular fabrics, it will make an attractive quilt when finished if you change the sashing. Please show us what you decide...and we'd love to see the contrast.
