I am with the others = move the sashing to the back and go with a tone-on-tone or solid for the front. And, wow, your curves are wonderful!

Hope you post a photo of the finished quilt!

Wow! The sashing made all the difference . . . looks like a totally different quilt. I also agree w/michelleoc on the block placement :o I wonder if a black sashing would be worth considering. Either way, I think you have a "Winner" Excellent workmanship!

I like this suggestion, but I still don't think that the cornerstones go with the quilt.

I agree with the others above - I like the blocks - they have that 'new modern' feel to them and I think black would make them pop :)

I agree about the sashing; I don't care for this reddish pink print with the blocks, which I think are really nice. I'd choose another fabric, maybe a solid red that matches the red in the block, or maybe that gold. Or black, if those tiny dots are black.

Your curved seams are great, but sorry, don't care much for the fabric. But then, I'm a beginner and can only say I like or not. I don't have enough experience or abilities to suggest changes.

I love the blocks...to me just the sashing needs a change. Black, or yellow or even for extra kapow...a solid red. Please show us when you are done....I think it's a beauty waiting to surprise us.

I agree with others, the sashing doesn't work at all. I like your blocks and they look very nice. Find something that doesn't clash with your blocks.

I'm thinking I agree that you are losing a lot of the movement in your DP blocks by adding the sashing. How about sewing them together without the sashing and then adding borders to make it bigger if needed?

I think most solid or tonal would work great! Forest green, mustard, brown, cream, black, or others in the "natural" colors would look great!
