Help increasing quilt size
I am currently making Missouri Stars free tutorial for Chandelier Quilt pattern. Finished size is 60 x 60. The blocks are set on point. Longest row is 9 blocks; then 7; 5; and 3.
If I want to increase the finished size, do I just add more blocks to the rows? What about setting triangles, how do I determine how many more I will need due to increased size? Thank you. |
Since it is on point make your setting triangles and corners and set them as you go. That should complete it to 60x60. To make your quilt larger add some additional borders to get it to the size you want it to be.

Imho if you want bigger try Jordan Fabrics video its bigger , if your already too far along and doing Missouri*, then add more blocks till you get the desired size, the setting triangles will be the same size, you will just need more of them.

To make one row bigger make an 11 row with corner piece an extra 9 and then use existing 7,5,3,1

Yep, what Deb said. I tend to like to draw it out on paper. Graph paper is great for this.
