Thanks, in advance, for your input. :-)

I want to make small brown paper sack type fabric bags with contrasting lining. I am in need of ideas for styles and sizes.

Bag would be used as small gift of snacks (granola bars, apple, breath mints, and bottled water) and tourist info for a family gathering following a destination wedding. Bags would be made available at table near continental breakfast layout on last morning we would be together.

I have hunted on this site, but came up with zero :-(

You could change the size, but this link is for fabric lunch bags. Best of luck with your project :D

You could start out taking a small paper bag apart and seeing if it could be constructed of fabric using the bag as a pattern. You'd be able to see if fat quarters would make that size bag, for example.

I'd certainly toss what I wanted into a paper bag and see if everything really fits.

A pillow case pattern might be a good construction method just downsize and square off the corners of the bottom and get some kind of pull string for closing the top of the bag.

Sounds like a great idea!

I used the search function with gift bag and came up with some options...including a super cute on Sondray added. It comes up first in the list.

What about a small drawstring type bag ? like the old ...hhmmm what alcohol was that , came in purple bags  crown royal I think. those would be simple to make and you really wouldn't need a pattern . Just figure out how big you want them draw it out, then cut, sew sides together , roll down top sew leave an opening for drawstring .

Isn't it, dakotamaid? I think I'll have to make time for these, too. They're adorable. Thanks, Sondray for yet another cool link!!
