I have a new longarm and was quilting, started new row and now the bobbin stitches look like blanket stitch. Any ideas?

gee wish i could help you ,but i don,t own one yet, what brand is your and try calling to company that makes it ,ive heard some quilters here on board say they call the shop or company when they have trouble with their quilting machines hope i help you

What you got on the back is called EYELASH. This happens very often when you are going around curves. you must SLOW DOWN when you do any kind of curve.

I read that the mag core bobbins eliminated most all tension problems in home high speed machines and long arms. The mag core bobbins are available to buy for home quilting and domestic machines through Fil Tec.

Tension is a usually the main problem for new longarmers. It's like a tug of war between the top and bottom threads. If you have eyelashes on the bottom of the quilt, tighten the top tension. If you have eyelashes on the top of the quilt loosen the top tension.
If you still have lashes rethread your machine and slow down. Clean out the lint with every bobbin change. Make sure the bobbin is in the right direction. Practice, practice, practice! I've had my old style Lizzie for a year and a half and have no tension issues except with different threads. When using a new thread brand I do a sample piece to adjust tension.

I have done everything, cleaned, changed tension, re threaded, changed the bobbin and it is still doing it. Not sure what too do next.

Call the company if you are still having trouble. They are supportive and will talk you through it.
Also join the Yahoo group of Tin Lizzie users. Just reading through the info and questions/answers helped me a lot. You have a super machine and help is out there. Ask questions of both the company and group. I took me a while to realize that to adjust the tension on my Lizzie I had to turn the tension knob several turns, not just a bit like on my DSM.
