Help looking for easter egg table topper

I seen a post sometime back of a table topper that was in the shape of a easter egg it was big, for the center of the table and I think it was a QAYG one.. Does anyone remember who posted it, I did a search here and I couldn't find it. Maybe it was some where else that I saw it..

Also would it be hard to put binding on that shape.I have never put binding on something round before.

I was thinking that I could maybe just stitch all around and leave an opening and just turn it like a pillow case and top stitch around..I looking for something fast and It needs to be for a round table.. what do you think.. Anybody know of a fast round table topper that looks good...Thanks..

It is not difficult to bind anything round- or oval-shaped. Just use bias binding.

And I'd like to know where that post is, too!

I don't remember a large egg but it would be quite simple QAYG however I would think you would need to bind or do a facing if you quilted it first.

I've seen one somewhere...it is striped pieces from one end to the other, so QAYG would be a snap. Large rectangle of backing, batting, sew on strips, then cut out to size oval and bind. Does that sound right? Maybe draw out the oval shape on the backing to get idea of where to start-stop?

i too would like to know where the easter egg table topper is.........but here is a free carrot table topper i made a few of these very easy the only thing different i did was use strans of green yarn for the greens of the top http://www.allpeoplequilt.com/quilt-...t-table-runner would go nicely with the egg shape table topper and a few bunnies...........

All People Quilt also have a big carrot table runner. I bought different orange fabric fat quarters to use instead of trying to find different colored fabrics on the bolt.

You would need a bias binding to go around the edges smoothly. I had a quilt instructor tell me once that if you are making a seasonal wall hanging/table runner that you are only going to use for a short time to make it pillowcase style (sewing around the edges and turn right side out). Makes sense to not spend a lot of time on it. I would then sew around the egg to look like a binding.
