help lost name of pens from Staples to mark quilts and iron out

I can't locate the thread that gave information about marking pens that were bought at Staples.
She said she could mark the quilt than just iron out the marks. Please let me know what they are called if you know. Thanks

They are Frixion pens.

Try doing a google on the review of those pens, some are not that great. If the ink comes back when you put it in the freezer (or if it's left in a cold car) then I'd sure be hesitant to use it myself.

My take on the Frixion pens: I used some on a small wall hanging I was doing for a guild challenge and was later going to give to my in-laws. Used blue to mark quilting lines on a white background and red to mark quilting lines on a solid black border. The blue ironed out just fine, but the red left a slight silvery line on the black that I couldn't remove by any means, but I decided it would be OK on this project. When we journeyed to my in-laws, we drove at night and napped in a restaurant parking lot for a couple hours waiting for them to open for breakfast. Apparently it got rather cool in the car (northern PA in February), as when I pulled out my masterpiece to present it to them, there were blue lines all over the white background! I was able to iron them out again, but it kind of ruined the presentation. I will NOT be using the pens again for marking material.

Once you wash the fabric the ink will be permanently removed.

Yes - wash the quilt....I have only used the black pen - on whites and it has ironed out beautifully. Haven't experienced the lines coming back after washing, but then, I am not in the habit of putting my quilts in a freezer. I have not tried the other color pens, but the stories about the silvery lines reminds me that I need to check all pens when using them on all fabrics.

if I could find the two I bought, i'd send them to you. i just dont' trust the marks to say gone so i won't use them on a quilt myself.
