help me find this pattern!

I found a killer pincushion-one that will *also* hold all the odd bits that end up floating around the sewing table. But I only have a picture of it, and my google-fu isn't getting me anywhere. I don't even have a name for it.

Free is better, but I'll cheerfully pay for a pattern that will help me keep the clutter contained!

I have not seen this pin cushion, but it is really nice! I would love to have the pattern also.

Crqltr 01-15-2013 03:44 PM

I don't have an answer fr you but will be watching to see if anyone does...that is super cute!!

Earleen 01-15-2013 03:44 PM

I just finished making this pin cushion. So fun!

Lorileik 01-17-2013 05:52 AM

Thanks to the people who posted the link to the tutorial. I like it too.

KimmerB 01-17-2013 05:53 AM

I think I will try this also. Thank you!

solstice3 01-17-2013 05:55 AM

Very cute. A friend made me something similar but bigger using a coffee can. I use the center for threads and scraps, there are pockets on the side for pens, rulers, scissors and a section for a pin cushion.

luciab 01-17-2013 06:50 AM

Nice idea. Think I'll give it a try.

Cookie64 01-17-2013 08:33 AM

What a great pin cushion thanks for sharing!

MimiBug123 01-17-2013 09:31 AM

There's a very detailed tute on Penny's Hands blog. I bookmarked it the other day because I thought it was sew cute.

QuiltnLady1 01-17-2013 09:41 AM

This web site has a tut that is not all hand work. I may even be able to do it with my poor hands.

Will have to copy the pattern and make a few of them.
Thanks for asking and many of us will enjoy it.

tkee 01-17-2013 11:21 AM

Thanks for posting! I've been meaning to make a new pincushion for a while. (Since the dog chewed mine up.) This one fits the bill. I can carry everything I need without being too big and bulky.

MartiMorga 01-17-2013 05:20 PM

gzuslivz had it right, and the tutorial is very detailed with pattern at: sewingbymoonlight.com/2012/01/pin-cushion-caddy-tutorial/#comment-33
Will be anxious to make one!

sewellie 01-17-2013 09:21 PM

How cute is that??? I will watch for an answer too.

It is the pincushion caddy from Anna Maria Horner - I think it's in her book Seams To Me. Google "pincushion caddy" and you'll see lots of images.

HisPatchwork 01-18-2013 09:11 PM

Thank you, I am going to have to make (at least) one.
