Help me identify this awesome find!

I found a queen size bed cover and 4 pillow shams at an estate sale today. (Can I brag that I got them for $10?)
Anyway, the shams are 10x10 with a plain ivory back with a hidden zipper. The pieced top has an interfacing liner, but no batting. The "quilt" is similar-no batting. The triangles look like they're appliquéd on. The swirls look reverse appliquéd, the rest is pieced.
It's my understanding that the owners of the estate were importers-traveled all over, bought stuff and had a couple of stores in Denver. They closed the stores and are liquidating everything.
Has anyone seen anything like this anywhere? Thanks for your help!

It looks like it could be done in Thailand. their work usually has more colour, but you never know.

It looks like it was sewn by the Hmong. There are many Hmong who have emmigrated to the US. I've seen the same design more commonly done in bright contrasting colors, but some as textural pieces also. Very nice piece.

Nice call, Monroe! I started researching Hmong quilts and that's it-on the nose! I'm going back tomorrow to dig through that hoarders' mess to find more!

I really like that. It is interesting to look at with all of the different shapes. I enjoy subtle patterns. Good buy! I hate to think about what we paid yesterday for comforter sets that will go on the guest cal-king and a queen bed - it was shocking. The price you paid is so much better!
