Help me Pick One
I want to sew and have several WIPs. Just need to pick one and yet my decision-maker is on the fritz today. So I need your help. These are ones without deadlines, just for fun, no recipient in mind.
What say ye? as for quilt blocks: 1. Birdies 2. Houses with Dogs 3. Puzzle pieces 4. Basketweave 5 Picnic or, with a recipient in mind, but not a near deadline: 6. a pillowcase for a kid 7. a pillowcase dress for Africa (never made one before) |
I vote 1 or 2.
5 - bring in the spring!!
and 7.... I'd like to see 7 when done cuz I'm not sure what you are referring to. |

Houses with dogs. I want to see what you come up with.
You can probably knock out 6&7 in no time, followed by 4
Definitely 7!
Zo, cabin fever must be setting in b/c my first thought was picnic!!!!!!! :)
And 7 too. |
Write the numbers on pieces of paper, place in a bowl and draw one out.
I have made over 100 pillowcase dresses. They are not hard and I like making several at a time...kind of like chain piecing! |
Pillowcase or pillowcase dress - you can have something done in a comparatively short time.
I'd work on the birdies simply because I love birds and then on a pillowcase for a kid. Something to get your stuff done and something for the soul, making something for donation. It could be the dress too but I have never made one while I am familiar with the pillowcases.
I would go with 6 and/or 7 as an easy warm-up and then #3. I like those jigsaw puzzle pattern, so I'd do that one.

I vote for a pillowcase b/c it would be done quickly and you can mark it off your list!!! Done and Done and a feel of accomplishment. Let us know what you decide.
I would do the ones with deadlines first, because you never know when something unexpected will happen and suddenly that far off deadline is past and gone. Sorry to give such a boring practical answer, but I am a bit boring and practical.
The one with birds!:)
I, too, like the bird idea!
I did a puzzle one, it was fast and easy. Just squares sewn together, and appliqued tabs.

I need the voice of boring and practical in my life as I tend toward the opposite. (We married each other, as a matter of fact.) |
Definitely number 2, never ever can one have too many dog stuff related.

I did this but now have to wait because of broken wrist. |

Thanks for your question because I ended up reading about the dresses from pillowcases and I went to a sale and got ten for 50 cents each. Yard sales will start soon and I can buy little boy shorts too.
I vote a pillowcase dress for Africa. Love them!
I'd go with the birds. Spring is on its way.
