Yes, I have successfully used super glue, also and a friend used magic tape. I would like more strength to the ruler but it might cause problems for the rotary cutters to get deep enough into the fabric.

Still, it is a marvelous help for me.

I picked mine up at the bottom left corner and it snapped right at the slot but I just taped it with packing tape on both sides and continue to use it. Love that ruler but not ready to purchase another one at the price they are. Wish they made them out of thicker plastic so they wouldn't snap so easily.

Same here. I use mine all the time and and the slots were wearing out so I recently bought a new one.

I just love my JT shape cut... I have a mental block when I have to cut without it ha ha ha

I had one that broke as well, but I think like someone else said my rotary cutter kept working on it it was bound to give way :) I bought a new one and all is well

I have looked at the stripology ruler, but the one I saw was alot more than the JT and had a lot of different measurements.. and I get easily confused :)

I do not have the JT shape cutters, because they seem so flimsy, but I can sure see the benefit of using one.

What would happen if you put clear shelf liner (MacTac) on both sides? Would that make it sturdier? You would have to cut through the slots, a good thing to do with an old blade before replacing it.

I have the little wooden 'spoons' that come with single serve ice cream glued to all four corners of my JT ruler. I don't care - I love the thing and how it helps me cut on track. Mine probably wouldn't be quite so broken if I didn't travel with it every month.

Mine broke from mishandling it. I had some clear reinforced packing tape, taped both side at the crack and keep using it. It is JT and I love it for cutting strips.

That's a good idea. I have some clear Conact. I'll try it. Maybe it will keep more of the slots from breaking.
Thanks!

I snapped my 15 inch square ruler and used a strip of clear packing tape on the back. I used the tape like a hinge and opened up the crack and put crazy glue in the crack. I left it flat on my table overnight until it dried. I think it has been about 5 years and is still going strong.

Mine are the same as when I first got them. I did replace one because I let someone use it once and she destroyed most of the slots. No longer loan my tools to just anyone.
