If it is not too bad try plenty of spray starch. Then hold your iron slightly above it and steam well. I hope this can work for you

Thanks! I will try that.

I know there is a technique for getting that center pieces to lay flay. Have you look on Google for any u-tube videos??

I was told once by a 'master' quilter, that the center will almost always flatten out with quilting. I've found it to be true with the few stars I've done--tho I haven't done a lot of them, they always seem to pucker in the middle.

I went back and checked all my seams converging on the center. There were two that were not the correct 1/4 inch. Once I corrected this , the center is now perfectly flat . Thank you all for your suggestions.

The piecing has to be accurate. It's amazing how one off seam can cause a lot of problems.

I made a radiant star and had the same problem but decided that taking it apart and trying to fix it would only worsen because of the bias...so I left it and since it was just for me I am hoping that the quilting will fix some of it...anyway I don't think that you could see it from a galloping horse..lol..:D
