help my quilting gurus
Okay I found a quilt on pintrist that my son wants me to make for him for his new bed. It is a labyrinth quilt but with a twist. Will try and figure out how to put a link on here. It is 6 blocks by 8 blocks and it has there of those center stars with a double twisty surround. If I make those blocks 12" finished then I get a 72x 96" quilt top minus borders. My question is do I have my math right so far? Now it looks like the center blocks are going to be made up of 3.5" hst. Is this going to be right? I wish I could post a link to the pic of it but can't figure how to do it from my tablet.

Think I have the pin link here. http://www.pinterest.com/pin/104356916342018902/ hope it works

This is a beautiful quilt, I going to keep watching in hopes that someone can help you.

OMG, that is an awesome quilt! Hope you get an answer, and share!

If you look at one of the center blocks, there are 4 hst across. If the blocks are 12", then each HST would need to finish at 3", so they would be 3.5" unfinished.

Now another question. If I'm going to be doing this in shades of blue should I do the background beige fabric a pale pale pale blue or should I do a beige shade?
|
I think the use of beige as the background helps the darker design "raise up" and be eye catching.

Looks like that was a quilt created in EQ7 -- wonder if it really has been made!

Your math is right. That is a pretty simple layout with a great look, I may have to try one.
