checks, plaids and maybe stripes look great together. like men's shirts! just simple but great fabrics.

I posted the flannel bricks quilt. I started on it today.

Not that you really need a pattern for this, but it was in the Spring 2016 Quilty magazine. The blocks are 6"X3" finished.

Boxed Squares in rich dark colors can be very manly. It works up fairly quickly. I hope you are machine quilting. :)

I agree with "wesing"-a brick pattern quilt made up of flannels would be really nice.
