I'm confused by the pattern. I have sewn my 2 fabrics together and now have my long tube. Then pattern says to stitch 1/2 inch seam on both short ends and press seams open. Does it mean to just turn under the raw edges 1/2 or does it mean to actually sew together the ends of your tube? I'm not a very visual person and I'm confused.

I was confused by those directions also.

1. Cut one piece of fabric 20" X WOF
2. Cut one piece of fabric 10" X WOF
3. With right sides together, sew a seam on both long sides.
4. Turn tube right side out and press.....there will be a band of fabric on each side of center fabric of 2 1/2".
5. Trim ends.....so they are even and sew 1/2 seam across each end ... press seams open.......and turn ends out......this forms a point at both ends.
Hope this helps.

It didn't make sense to me either, but I found this and now we should be "good to go"...
