K, look at it now from GREY SCALE and tell me please.....this is how I arrange them....anybody else???

3 & 4 look the same so I think they might be ok where they are. I put 2 last because it does look darker than the rest

I agree with the black and white one, I thought it when in color, but it is obvious in b&w.

Thx Marti, I think so too, now. This has to be exact, no guessing, that why I need fresh eyes to look.

Shadowirish 03-10-2013 08:44 AM

I agree....1 3 4 2

Thank you so much for the info on the black and white photo, made it really easy to see!!!!!

Wow, I have heard people say to take a b & w picture, but have never tried it. It is neat to see how well that works. I will use that trick in the future!

To my eyes, #2, 3, and 4 don't have sufficient difference in value, if you really need a difference. Depending on what part of each one is more visible in each piece after cutting, they might go in different order.

ditto....I see no difference in 2,3, and 4

I would agree 1,4,3,2,

quilttiger 03-12-2013 05:11 PM

I'd go with 1,3,4,2, too. My favorite trick is to look through the viewfinder of my camera or take pictures of the colors.

I agree 1342. Because 3 and 4 are the same value, you might want to substitute something else for one of them, even though they are both lovely.

Do you have a piece of red plastic, can't remember the name of the tool, look through it and it shows the color value.

Right on. 1342
