Help please - do you know this quilt pattern?
1 Attachment(s)
Hi
Saw this quilt in a shop today and the clerk didn't know the pattern (name or designer or anything to identify it). Can anyone tell me information about it? Thanks, Nancy |
Oh sorry, I have no idea. Looks unique and modern.
Can't help you either ... but a bit stunned that a quilt shop displays a quilt and knows nothing about it.
Yes. Just got the pattern at my quilt store. It is Counterpoint, by Mountain Peak Creations
Thank you, bluelady! The lady at the quilt shop told me if I called them on Friday, someone who knew about it would be in but I'm impatient and I knew someone on this board would have the answer!
I'm glad you found the info. on it. I really like the pattern and the colors used.
No - but I really like it too ! Funny they didn't know what the pattern was !
Glad someone had the information for us. Pretty quilt; looks very versatile.
Thanks to Bluelady, I found the pattern name. It is available as a download from Mountainpeek Creations site or as a regular pattern from their site or other LQS. The lady who was working at the quilt shop I went to the other morning was very nice and helpful but just didn't happen to know about that quilt herself. She told me who I could contact in the shop who knew about it. This shop is an hour away from me so I don't know it well and perhaps the woman working yesterday was new or temporary.
LOL - now I have to decide how impatient I am as to whether I want to receive the pattern by email (instant gratification!) or a "proper" pattern. I have a few patterns by this company and I see a few more I like too. I really need to stop looking ;-) |
The one on display at my LQS was done in Timeless Treasures fabrics in blue color with black for the "sashing". It looked awesome. Much more striking than using a light color for sashing, I think
I've seen a few pictures (thanks, Google!) with black sashing and it is really sharp.

You can also get it from Keepsake Quilting. I made it a few months as a bridal shower gift in shades of cream and tan. It was very easy to do and gave me an opportunity to do some nice quilting in the large spaces.

Very cool pattern. Glad to know the name.
I think it is absolutely gorgeous and am toying with looking at the pattern as well. One thing that I find very interesting on second look is, to me the points are off kilter. What I mean is, the lighter colored diagonal strips don't continue from row to row. It's like the original square was cut into strips with sashing in between, but when sewn they were just a little off. Does that make sense to anyone but me?
Still love the quilt. |
Jratcliff, I noticed the same thing when I looked closer at it! I'm not an experienced quilter so it might make me feel like I did something wrong ;-) but I still really like the pattern.
Thanks, I have not seen that pattern! Love it!

Still love the quilt. I would have to tweek it and make the lines match up. But I do love the quilt. |
Sorry can't help but really like the quilt
That is beautiful, and I think it would look good in blue.
Can't help you - sorry - but it surely is pretty!
It's beautiful. I have a coworker that just went on disability for ALS. And I am going to make a signature quilt for the office to sign. I think this might be the pattern I use. Looks like a good pattern for a man and looks to have some good sized areas to sign.
Those that have seen it in person, what do you think?? Thank you to the wonderful members of the QB! You help even when you don't know you are! Suze |
