Help please - how can I get rid of fusible glue?

I've managed to iron some glue onto my Cut n' Press ironing board which I can't get off. I've tried ironing on top with fabric hoping to 'soak up' the glue and rubbing with neat soap and a very hot cloth - no luck.

Hope someone can help - it's really annoying!

Not sure it will help at all but I got that stuff on my iron-- to get it off I ironed over newspaper with iron as hot as it could get and this worked. Because yours is on mat I'm not sure of results will be. Same but worth a try. Hope you can get it off I understand the annoyance

I use a product called Goo Gone. Its great. I get it at Walmart. I do alot of fusible applique, and it keeps my iron spotless.

I've had luck with this. bonus, your board will smell nice everytime you use it for quite a while

I would recommend goo gone also.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'd never heard of Goo Gone, but I managed to track some down on Amazon, so here's hoping
