I am doing a pattern the uses 2 sizes of square in a square in a square. The larger ones are perfect! But the ones that are 4 1/2 are not even close.
I am looking for a paperpieced one the is 4 1/2 inches when done. I have found a few 6 1/2 inch ones. How do I resize them? I am wondering if the cutting instructions in my pattern are correct for the smaller ones. So I am going to do a few pp with the cut pieces to see if it is me, or the pattern. Below is a a pic of the S in S I am trying to do. It is a 6 1/2 inch one. Thanks for the help! |
BTW here is where I found this square:

You could try printing the 6.5" pattern that works at 66%. And adjust percentage from there til you get it printed the size you want. Don't forget to add seam allowances to the middle ones.

i would draw it out to size on graph paper- cut it apart- add seam allowances- and put it back together to print out the pp pattern.

Check Quiltville for PP patterns ... not sure if it'll be the size you want!

I tried the resizing, but it was wasting too much to get perfect. THANKS EVERYONE FOR THE HELP! :) |
