I am getting ready to make my first Quilt for Kids quilt and you are supposed to sew long strips together and then cut the strips into smaller blocks. I understand I need to use small stitching with this method to help keep it from unraveling since the stiches will not be locked when you cut the strips. How small should the stitiches be?
Thanks

Yes, you sew the strips together :D
I use a shorter stitch length when quilting, it is a 2.0 on my machine, and I don't have any problems with the stitches coming out where the strips are cut :D:D:D

Just use a regular stitch length. You'll sew over every one of those seams when you put the cut pieces together.

I use a 2.5 on my machine. You end up stitching all those seams together anyway; they won't come undone.

I am a chapter leader for Quilts for Kids, and I use the 2.5 setting on my machine.
