help with prairie points

Does anyone know tricks to making prairie points. Like joining, attaching to quilt , binding. I know the general principle but am looking for an easier way. Or something that will looks the same but not so much work. I have no more background fabric or I was thinking HST. not sure piano key will look ok! Thanks!!!!!!

youtube may have some easier way to make them. I find it faster and easier to just go ahead and do them that way. Seems if I try a new way it takes longer.

do a search for that subject here too. I'm sure it's been discussed. you might find some help there too.

Yes, I’m pretty sure it has been discussed here on the board in the past.

I'm not sure exactly what the above quote means.

Here are two ways to do them. I've not made them myself and am not sure what the traditional way is. Donna Jordan has a tutorial that looks doable. She uses charm packs, but 5" squares would work as well. I didn't watch the whole video this time, but I think she shows how to bind them as well.

This looks doable, too.

I have done this method and liked it very well. It takes some effort to keep the sequence of actions in order, but you catch on soon. I have also done this with two fabrics by sewing two strips (half as wide plus seam allowances) together. I liked that, too.

Donna Jordan's tutorial is the best way for me too.

update- I decided not to make prairie points-looks hard and may not have enough fabric since I am using scraps. I decided to do "piano key" (Whose idea was that). Good thing I like the process and not speed. These are taking be forever since they are 1' wide. and top is about 65/85" What was I thinking!!!!!!! Have fun!!!!!!!
