I say (as Tim Gun says on Project Runway) "make it work"... it is barely noticable really, and once you bind it, I am sure your friend will not notice. Lovely quilt by the way... :-)

Glad you mentioned this as in a few days I'll be cutting a wide border for a queen size quilt and will make sure I cut them lengthwise.

"What do I do to fix this....it is a gift for a friend!!!!!"

No problem with one border being a tad less than the others, it's so pretty who will notice but you. Sometimes we make ourselves crazy of little details, I know as I've been there done that.

1/4" is nothing - don't worry about it. After you bind, it will not be noticeable.

Very cute quilt by what I can see!

I would say OH WELL!! Just trim it and bind it.
Not one of my quilts were ever right. LOL

This really isn't very bad at all. Just the normal ammount of shrinkage that happens with quilting. I always make my outer border a few inches larger than I want my finished border to be so I can trim it down after it is quilted. Hope this will help for future quilts. I can't see any bunching in the photos so it can't be that bad. One suggestion for you though, don't point out anything that you "Think" is a mistake to ANYONE, they don't care and probably will never notice unless you show them. They will love the quilt for being a handmade gift with lots of love sewed into it!
peace :D
