Help with removing pigma micron pen
I'm making a charity quilt with triangle shaped fish. I decided to use a pigma pen for the eyes. I accidentally put the eyes on the wrong part. I have not ironed over the ink yet to set it. Is there a way I can totally remove the ink and put the eyes in the proper place on the fish??? Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

If you have a scrap of the fabric, try marking a dot and removing it. I used Snthrapol straight from the bottle on a Q-tip to remove a regular marker spot. It was not a permanent marker though. Synthrapol can remove the colour from fabric if used straight which is why I would try a sample first.

oh my, good luck. those pens are supposed to be permanent.

just a thought, test rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover.

Try flushing the area with hot water.
Try "original" Dawn full strength on the spot and then flush it some more. Sometimes it works if one gets it while the ink is still "fresh" |
Fit Vegetable Wash worked for me to remove Sharpie marks from fabric, off the fridge door, and the face of a 2 year old.

Try cheap hair spray like Aqua Net. I've gotten ink pen off of wallpaper and a leather couch with it.

I did that once and I used a white pigma pen ( I forget which brand but it was a fine permanent marker) and wrote over it in white. My fabric was white so it worked for me, but you could use whatever colour pigma pen your fabric is to draw over it. I have lots of colours of pigma pens - they come in very handy. Good luck!

Thank you to everyone who offered suggestions. I've tried a couple and so far, NO LUCK! Yes, that is why they call them 'Permanent', I know. So, I either have to be happy with fish swimming upside down or try Beaglelady's suggestion of trying to cover the black eye with the color of the fish and start over. Thanks, again.

Can you turn the miss placed eye into a scale or fin?

I have tried all suggestions from previous years. Hope that someone has a workable idea for removing pigma dye.

Any new suggestions for removing pigma dye on a team colored quilt?
