I hope this is the right place to post. I have a sewing table I am donating to a church garage sale and don't have ANY idea how to price this. I don't even know if it is worth selling. I don't know if I can load the picture. I appreciate any help. Thanks

I have one just like it, I paid $15 for it at a second hand store. :D:D:D

I got one just like it or similar anyway, when I bought my first Bernina 36 years ago. I LOVED it. I would pay 50 bucks for it if I saw it at a rummage sale. Not sure what the actual value is, but I know mine was worth a fortune to me.

I have one just like it in my garage. My old Pfaff was on it until I got a Koala cabinet. Now I keep it in hopes of my granddaughter learning to sew on my old Pfaff. Not sure of today's value, but mine was certainly loved and used.

Haven't seen this style in a long time.

I'm sure someone will want it! Don't know about the price, though.

Probably not worth more than $10 or $15, IMO.

I agree on the 10. or 15. dollars. I bought one several years for 15.00 with the machine in it.

Thanks guys
I was thinking $10.00. Maybe someone will pay that much because the proceeds go to the church.
If you ever need an answer to a question, this is the place to come. Everyone is so kind and helpful. I really appreciate the help.

Oh, I am sure it will sell, it is in very good shape. I think mine may still be in the garage.

CompulsiveQuilter 10-11-2010 04:46 PM

I WANT IT!

Leota 10-11-2010 04:48 PM

That sewing table retails for about $100. I have one like it.

AnnieF 10-11-2010 05:53 PM

A friend bought one for me 3 years ago and paid $10.

I have one similar to it that I bought new about 35 years ago and paid $100 for it. It is still set up in my sewing room for an extra machine.

Maxine Goodyear 10-11-2010 06:29 PM

Well if someone buys it for $10.00, they should get their moneys worth. Thank you for all the feedback. It certainly helps.

I have one just like it. Paid $65.00 new. That was years ago. I now store one of my machines on it.

gzbird101 10-11-2010 10:37 PM

I think it sells for around $100 new here and a good used one is $50. The better shape it is in, the more you can get for it

Annaleehunter 10-12-2010 12:44 AM

I have a similar table that is set up for my great MIL's featherweight! Absolutely worth 20 or more for a church GS price.

quiltmaker 10-12-2010 04:02 AM

I think $10 is too low..........a church sale usually goes to help specific projects at that church. $20 - $25 wouldn't be too much to start out with and the price can always be lowered if necessary.

Maxine Goodyear 10-12-2010 07:59 AM

Thanks, you have a point! People like to haggle, so that is a good idea.

Oh my, it's the same table I was given with my Elna Super back in 1972!!! I love that sewing table - so easy to flip the front and side away so I can sew a hem in pants or set a sleeve. I still use that lovely machine with a walking foot to put on all my bindings. What a workhorse of a sewing machine and the table still looks as good as when I got it.

quiltnchik 10-12-2010 12:24 PM

I still have mine, which I got from Fingerhut years ago when I bought my first Singer sewing machine. In fact, I still have it set up in my studio and use it for my embroidery machine and/or to seat friends at when they come over to sew :D

Dar-midlife 10-12-2010 12:40 PM

I guess if the $$ go to a church, many people are inclined to pay more where as some want only a really good deal! put a bit of a higher price on it ($25 or $50and put or B/O (best offer) beside it and see what comes! nothing to lose and everything to gain. It is all a matter of if the right person comes along.

pookie ookie 10-12-2010 12:48 PM

I've seen them go for $40-50 used.
