Hi Guys,

Can somebody explain about in the ditch quilting.

Do you actually sew on the seam or just beside it?

Hugs

A thread or 2 beside it on the side that the seam allowance is not. I have started using some of the decorative stitches rather then just the straight stitch:)

I love erstan's idea. I have some decorative stitches too and they're fun to use :)

I always Stitch in the Ditch; hence it's name. I've also seen others that say to move it out of the ditch by a thread or two. What works the best for you?

your choice.

If it's in the ditch, it's in the ditch.

Quilting is about choices ~ stitch in the ditch or stitch beside the ditch ~ use a straight stitch or a decorative stitch. You are the one in charge just enjoy the journey.
