That is a hard thing to do. Did manage to not buy any for I think 3 months, but I think I have made up for it. To make it even harder --- I work in a fabric shop. :)

I don't know how you did it for 3 months & sorry you fell off the wagon but you really don't stand a chance by working in a fabric shop.

Nothing more fun than planning a shopping trip to the fabric store! LOL I don't think this one will work! LOL LOL

I so know where you are coming from. I am trying to not go to JoAnn's tomorrow for the start of their weekend sale when they have their clearance (red tag) fabric at 50% off - lots of new bolts added. I DO NOT need to buy any more fabric. I have plenty already to quilt. Lord, keep us strong!

OK - here is my address and I will love what ever you pick! Thanks in advance! LOL LOL

I can relate. I get the fabric buying syndrome every coupel weeks. The trouble for me is, my favorite quilt shop is only 20 minutes away and I get withdrawal if I haven;t been there for a couple weeks.

I know I have too much fabric, because when the word got out that I quilted, my husband's congregation gifts me with their leftovers. I couldn't say no (even if I wanted to) Most of it is wonderful, too. My niece was here this weekend and since she's just learning to quilt and has only a microscopic stash, I let her take a big box of assorted fabric back home with her. That was so much fun watching her eyes light up. However, there is still no more shopping for fabric for me for a while. I have projects waiting, so I'll use what I have for now.

Buy yourself a fat quarter that you love.

I used to have these feelings. I found if I just bought one yard of something I was happy. Now, I am over that...being poor kind of forced me into it. Oh...but I remember those days.

Ok I can get through this. I can do it. If I keep telling myself that I just might believe it. NOT!!

Go through your fat quarters! Look at them. Sort them into color families. Maybe think of a fall table runner or some christmas stockings...an hour or two...just might be a cure?

BREATHE!!! Then go eat some chocolate...works for me!

You need to join Fabric-aholic Anonymous, it is a BIG club. I have the same addiction and feel your angst.
