help

yesterday, I saw a post of a quilt and the lady said her long armer only charged her $45. and she did the binding also. I wonder if she would pm me with her information as I would be interested in having her do my quilt. Ifanyone can help me anyone can help me find that post, I would greatly appreciate it.

I'd like to know too

I would like to know also - how anyone can charge a day or more work for only $45.

This is the thread where it is mentioned:

Buyer beware, you get what you pay for. I can't imagine how any LAQ can quilt any size AND Bind for $45. She must be one of those LAQ who doesn't need to support herself with LAQ and just does it because she likes to and earn a little fabric spending money. Most likely quilts a meander or one or two panto designs. I would be interested to see close up pictures of both the quilting and the binding done at that price.

Maybe she is a good friend to the lady, or the LAer knows something we don't, so she does not charge her a lot. My neice has a long arm, her work is beautiful, she has quilted quilts for Meg Hawkie, the owner of crabapple Hill Designs. She quilts all my quilts and never charges me full price.

maybe it was basted for $45.00?

$45 may be right for binding, but for quilting and binding????????????????

Ditto, I'm retired but I got more than that for quilting a baby quilt, no, I didn't bind them.

She may be a friend and doing it as a favor. I would predict that she does it for friends and not a full time business.

Could she have forgotten the one in front or special rate be pending on age of customer?
