Help!!! There are just too many to choose from!

I ordered a bit of fabric - well, slightly more than a bit - in the days just after Christmas. The first parcel arrived today!!!

I ordered 2 of these : http://www.fatquartershop.com/rue-indienne-jelly-roll

Now I just have to think of a pattern that will do these gorgeous fabrics justice.

Perhaps this: http://www.mccallsquilting.com/mccal..._Quilt_Pattern

or maybe this: http://blog.shopmartingale.com/quilt...-pattern-free/

or perhaps this: http://lh3.ggpht.com/_8fPpS39oWtM/TH.../DSC014441.jpg

There's just so many to choose from! I'm leaning towards the 2nd one.

How about a Cozy Quilt pattern from their strip club patterns here https://www.cozyquilt.com/Aspx/Produ....aspx?CatID=15 They also have a lot of videos for some of their quilts on you tube to watch. When clicking on a pattern it goes to it and if they had made a video, the video screen will show up like this one https://www.cozyquilt.com/Aspx/Produ...productID=3294 . Nice fabric by the way. I have a lot of Cozy Quilt strip patterns am going to start on the Prickley Pear quilt using batiks.

Now, see, I just can't work that way. Kudos to those who can. I need to have a pattern in mind before I shop for fabric. I'm always afraid if I bring home x amount of fabric, and then find the perfect pattern, I won't have enough of x to do the pattern that I have found. Maybe because I do primarily bed-sized quilts???? Don't know but that's how I function.

The first pattern looked way too hard for me, but the second one was way cute!

I don't have much of a choice but to by fabric this way. There aren't any quilt stores around here. There's one about 45 minutes away, but its not just quilting, its all crafts and home wares, and I've never been very impressed with their fabric range. So if I want really good fabric, online is the way to go.

If I'm thinking a quilt that will fit a queen sized bed, then I tend to buy more than I'll actually need just in case - whats left over will never go to waste!!

I've some more fabric coming that will be perfect for the 2nd one - http://www.fatquartershop.com/paisle...quarter-bundle

I love the lonestar sampler and it would look stunning in that fabric. I really like the 2nd one too. BTW, I shop like you do, fabric first, pattern second. If I don't have enough of something I modify the pattern or add another print that goes. I find I am usually ok if I stick to the rule of never ordering less than 1 yard of anything and if I like it order 2, if I really like it order 3 and if I love it order 4 yards. Backgrounds and blenders or solids I use a lot of 5 to 10 yards.

Me too, that's why we had to buy another (separate) building for all my fabrics. My DH just shakes his head when I tell him I "need" to go to the fabric store! He's a keeper though, he doesn't complain!

quilting jem, I don't have any advice for you, just wanted to say how pretty your fabrics are. Good luck with picking out a pattern. My next one is this one: http://www.modabakeshop.com/2012/10/...html#more-1152

I like the second one also. The first on looks way to hard

Uthe 2nd one is nice, but I think #3 is the best way to show off your fabrics. Looking forward to your decision

I think your choice of fab would make a lovely 3rd choice.....and size wise ...more bang for the buck!
