HELP! Thread issues!
I'm using monofilament thread for the first time on a quilt. I normally tie ends in a knot and bury them in the quilt. The monofilament thread won't go into the self-threading needles. What do I do!?!?! This is probably an easy fix and I know you brilliant people will be able to help. Thank you!!!

When I used monofilament thread I backtracked quite a few stitches (more than with regular threads) to start and end a line of stitching. I didn't try to bury the threads. If you really want to bury them, you could also try the spiral eye needles - http://www.spiraleyeneedles.com/ - a little pricey but might work even with the monofilament thread. The other thing is to be aware that there are different types of monofilament. Some are more supple and easier to work with than others.

I just use a regular needle. Leave long tails and it's not too hard at all. I've never tried to do it in a self-threading needle.

Thanks for the replies. I actually got the self-threading needles to work. I just have to get the monofilament thread on first, and then put the bobbin thread in on top of it.
