Help with understanding thread.
 

I have seen several threads about thread. I didn't know that it was important in how thread comes off of the spool and whether horizontal or vertical. Could someone please explain? I don't know what to Google.

Visit "Superior Threads" website... They have free information, tutorials, charts, to teach you all about threads. The difference in threads, weights, twists, plys, uses... A very good resource. The way a thread comes off the spool can matter to your machine, sometimes you have today turn a spool for it to work for you.
