help! Vintage stripe fabric how should i cut it ?

I have a piece of vintage stripe fabric i really want to use but the stripe is so far off grain how do i cut it on the grain or with the stripe. I really want the stripe but will it really mess me up to cut it off grain?

i would heavily starch it and cut with the stripes. after all, we sometimes work with bias in other patterns :)

What are you using it for? Most of the time in the overall look of a quilt it doesn't really matter. It doesn't have to exactly match. But construction wise, cutting something off grain or on the bias can be a pain.

I am with QuiltnNan, starch well and cut with the stripe. Sometimes it's more important to go with your vision of a design than perfect grain lines. You could also save that stripe for the edge and cut it on the bias for candy striped binding. I love candy stripe bindings! Good luck.

I have about 6 yards of it so it will go in to several projects right now i want to showcase 2 little victorian girls I have not decided on attic windows or maybe a diamond log cabin I had to cut the squares of girls on the bias to get every motif i could get
