I have this beautiful material and want to make my MIL a quilt for Christmas but I don't know what design to use. I want the material to stand out but am not sure how. I'd like to stand the squares on point but I only know one way to do it and would like to learn another. My way shrinks the size of the square on the inside. Can anyone out there help?

Have you any thoughts on what other fabrics you might use with this?

The black, yellow, and white quilts you've made are very cheery and attractive.

I agree. Black and white would really make this fabric pop!

I agree as well which is one reason I bought three yards of this. The question is: what pattern do I use? Shall I do it like I did the others and cut blocks and put sashing around them or shall I make a strippie quilt out of it or what? See my delima?

This would make a great D9P along with a black and a solid yellow. using the print for the corners. That would keep the squares whole.. and.. it's easy to put on point.

You can purchase Pelion grid on point, you can make squares from your fabric any size you want then add sashing in a coordinating color, you can see a tute at www.crookednickel.com very easy to make and a fun new way to quilt, just make sure you get on point #821 of Pelion grid, I had purchased wrong Pelion first time and had to reorder.

Another idea is warm wishes, one that's easy but pretty

I think a disappearing 9 patch would be cool with yellow, black, and your fabrics
