One thread over---I haven't run across that one yet. I had trouble with a "scant 1/4"--but I am like a lot of the ladies on here, my seams are correct enough that it doesn't matter that much, scant or not. Who is going to notice at 50 paces on a galloping horse......

There were some funny comments. Thanks for the laugh. I always try for the scant 1/4 in. seam. The key word here is try. Not sure if I ever actually make it. Merry Christmas, everybody.

This comment is probably a bit late but it takes some catching up after time away from the computer. How we find a scant quarter inch is different for each person. Mine is the line on my walking foot. If the line is to the right of the fabric edge it is a scant quarter. If the line is to the left of the fabric edge it is a full quarter inch. Has worked for me for years and with the scant the blocks are always what they should be. Yes, I use the walking foot for most all piecing. Best wishes for a Happy New Year! |
