How do you measure a hexagon's size ? Do you measure the flat edge to flat edge . or point to point ? I found a tote bag pattern that calls for 3/4 " hexagons . No pattern included , want you to buy E P P [ english paper piecing papers ]. I don't have EQ or any quilting software , so I need a little help please . Annie

EPP is measured on the flat edge.

Try
www.printfreegraphpaper.com
you can print your own hexagons and then just cut them out.

Thanks for the site Lacelady. I just started English paper piecing and I love it.

You're welcome littlehud, I love EPP too. When I am too tired to sit a machine, I handsew in front of the TV, or I take it with me when travelling.
Printing ready done for you graphs is one way of getting the papers cheaper than machine cut packs. The other way is to buy the template you want, then draw around it, so there are several ways of achieving what you want. Please post pictures when you can.

I know 2 places to print these , but I can't get them the right size . I went to Incompetech.com , entered in 0.75 and it printed 1.25 " I'm getting very ticked with it . I don't know what I'm doing wrong . Annie

I'm doing a hexagon quilt too, it will take a while but it's going to look awesome.

If you like, I can print a template in EQ and send it to you. That's how I got mine the right size.

Here you go.... this is a hexagon with a 3/4" edge. If you print it out make sure there is no scaling in the print properties. :-)

question about hex's?
I have a garbage bag, 3/4 full from my mother and the 70's.
prints.
Trying to figure out, what to put them on, without getting too heavy.

Put the hexs together, right side to right side and whipstitch the edges together into various patterns.
